One Sheet Wonder Class

I am having a One Sheet Wonder Class on April 15, 2011 beginning at 7:00pm. This class will be held at Paiges Crossing in Columbia City. The cost is $10.00 and you will make 10 cards with envelopes. This class will teach you how to stamp one 12 by 12 sheet of cardstock and then cut enough embellishments to make 10 cards. This is a quick and easy way to make cards. RSVP by April 1, 2010. You can choose to make 10 Flower Cards, 10 Children Cards, 10 Masculine cards or a combination package which will give you a few of each theme.

April 9 from 6 pm to 8 pm will be my Chipboard Book Class. These books make great Mother Day gifts, Grandma brag books, friend gifts, Inspirational books, etc. You can choose from a scallop, a bird, or a heart. Each book has 8 pages and I will have everything you need to decorate your book. You can add the pictures , poems, or inspirational sayings later. The only thing you will need to bring is your adhesive and your creativity. The cost will be $10.00 for one book and $15.00 for two and you must RSVP by March 26 so I can have time to order the books. The books are on page 34 of the Occasion Mini. My sample is above using the heart shape book.

Birthday Card

Here is a Tri Shutter Card I made for my friend Laura's birthday. These are very easy. Start with a 5 1/2 by 12 piece of cardstock. Score at 2,4,8 and 10. Turn paper 90 degrees and cut a slit 1 1/2 in between the 2 and 10 score lines. turn the paper 180 degrees and cut another slit 1 1/2 inches in. Fold the card as pictured.

I have taken the bears I built and made them into cards

For the first card I used Pretty in Pink and BAB DSP. The second card I used some retired Riding Hood Red DSP. The third card I used BAB DSP and Pumpkin Pie cardstock. The last one is my Cardinal player which I put on Real Red. I ran the Very Vanilla cardstock thru the Big Shot with the textured plates.

These bears are very addictive. Here are two more. One is a St. Louis Cardinals player for my nephew and the other is for alittle girl I know. I used the new BAB Designer Paper for the skirt and jacket. I used Pretty in Pink for the blouse and accessories. For the baseball player I used Real Red and Whisper White. I embossed the baseball from Just Baseball with whisper white powder.

Colts Fans Build A Bear

When I saw mtech's cheerleader on SCS I knew I had to make some Colts Fans. The flower from Kind and Caring Thoughts has always reminded me of poms poms. I used brillant blue and whisper white cardstock. The football comes from a SU set and I cut it out. Now I will need to make some St. Louis fans for my nephew.

Cold & Cuddly II

Here is a card using the penguin. It is hard to see but I used brocade and bashful blue pastels to shade the background around the iceberg. I used Real Red for the card base, Whisper White, and Night of Navy for the accents. I embossed the iceberg and sign with Night of Navy Craft and clear powder. The penguin is Basic Black Craft, the hat Ruby Red Craft, and clear powder. I used the small oval punch and the scallop oval punch for the words. Again I used the snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes with Whisper White. The iceberg is painted with Champagne Mist shimmer paint.

Cold and Cuddly I

Today I was playing with my new set Cold and Cuddly. I just love the penguin. bear, and walrus. I used Night of Navy for the card base and Brocade Blue for the card front. I embossed the iceberg using Night of Navy Craft and clear powder, I embossed the bear with Whisper White powder on brocade blue. I painted the iceberg with Champagne Shimmer Paint. I added chunky white glitter to the front of the iceberg. I wanted to add Dazzling Diamonds but I couldn't find my dd glitter. I used the snowflake from Serene Snowflakes with Whisper White. The words and the fishing pole are stamped in Night of Navy. I popped up the bear with a dimensional.

Here are the individual pages from the scrapbook. The new My Digital Studio is awesome. You can have your album professionally printed, saved as .jpg, make a movie or burn a DVD. The gifts that you can make with this program are unlimited. Next I am going to make a calendar, then a card. You can have the cards professionally printed. Wouldn't that be great to be able to design a card and then have them printed.

I used Ruby Red cardstock, Mellow Moss, Card Stock, Ruby Red and Basic Black ink, Stampin Write Markers, Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon and Curly Label Punch. Stamp Sets Jolly Christmas and Christmas Punch. Supplies: Christmas Punch, Bravo Burgandy Cardstock and Ink, Handsome Hunter Cardstock, Whisper White ink and cardstock, Square and Scalloped Square Punch.

Supplies: Christmas Punch, All in the Family, Serene Snowflake, Real Red Ink and cardstock, Whisper White Ink and cardstock, Large Oval Punch, Gold Paint Pen.

This one looks much nicer in person. I used the new shimmer paint for the background and it shines beautifully. I used Christmas Punch, Texture Plate, Real Red and Whisper White Cardstock, Scallop Punch, Real Red Ink, Shimmer Paint, and Gold Cord.

Supplies: Christmas Punch, Serene Snowflake, Night of Navy cardstock and ink, Whisper White cardstock and ink, Brocade Blue cardstock, two way glue pen, chunky white glitter, big and little tag punch, gold cord.

My Living Room in Stampin Up Colors

Last year I fell in love with the big tree at convention. I could see it on my wall. We were trying to sell our house at the time and I didn't want to waste the tree on a wall which may not be mine for long. Our house didn't sell and we have taken it off the market. I was glad to take the house off the market but my husband not too happy as he has to drive an hour and half to work every day. First we had to decide on a color. It was hard for us to decide so my husband said get your color wheel. We chose Always Artichoke for the entry way and Mellow Moss for the living room. Then we went on vacation. All along I can feel the tree getting closer and closer to being put on my wall. Now it was time to start painting. We breezed through the entry way in one day. Then we came to the living room. Neither I nor my husband wanted to hang over the steps to the basement to reach the 16 foot peak of the wall. It was quite a dilemma. So we decided to hire a painter. So now starts the search for a painter. We live in small town and there are only a few to be found that are close. I never realized how busy painters were. We found the nicest gentleman and he agreed to fit us in between other jobs. So I ordered the tree and waited. This week the walls are done so my friend Jayne came over and we put it up. It was not as hard as I thought. It comes in 6 pieces and you have to fit it all together. I think it turned on pretty good. Now on to putting all the other pictures and shelves back up. I have one more Home Decor which is the word FAMILY which I plan to put on the wall with all the pictures.

Gift Bag

I made this gift bag for a friend who was having foot surgery. I filled it with funny things to help her pass the time during her recovery. I had crosswords books, a little fishing game (because I have heard fishing is relaxing), an aroma therapy candle, deck of Tinkerbell cards etc. It is hard to tell but I used the Texture Textile paper for the butterflies. (Much nicer in person) I used Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Melon Mambo.

I haven't posted in a long time. First my computer crashed, then family matters came up, and I just got busy with life and didn't get to post. Now I am ready to start again. Right now I am in Pennsylvania on vacation. I love the new catalog and I hope you do too. When I get back by the end of the week I will get some pictures posted of the cards I have been making.

I had to have a baby shower gift Sunday. I kept putting off what to get but by Saturday night I decided to make a scrapbook. The pictures are not very good because I was trying to take pictures in a hurry so I could get it wrapped and get to the shower. I have to learn not to wait until the last minute.

I used the new Manhattan embossing folder for these card. The flower looks so elegant. I think I like it better on the vanilla paper. I also used the hostess set God's Beauty.

The last 2 weeks have been really busy for me. First we went to Disney, then home for 2 days off to my brother's wedding. The little boxes I made for the reception were a big hit. So now I have everything unpacked and put away I can spend a few minutes posting here. First is my favorite pic from Disney. We are at the new T-Rex Cafe in Downtown Disney. Mason, Leland, and Riley truly made our stay at Disney magical.

I havent posted for over a week now but I was at Disneyworld with my three grandsons. Had a blast. They are ages 7,4, and 1 so just the right ages for Mickey and his pals. Now I will have to create some pages using our pictures. I will get a card posted this afternoon. Have a great day

This is another card for my April Club. Again I found a card like this one on Splitcoast Stampers. I used Almost Amethyst, Blush Blossom and Garden Green cardstock: Almost Amethyst DSP, the Sweet Stem Embosslit, the scallop punch, the flower texture plate, and Hugs and Wishes stamp set.

Here is a card for my April Club. The group comes to my house, places their orders and makes 2 projects. This month I have 8 samples to pick from. Here is one of them. I used the heart punch to make the flower. The colors are Cameo Coral and Apricot Appeal and a little Always Artichoke sponged on the flower. I saw a card like this on Splitcoast Stampers and I just had to make one.

Wedding Favor Boxes

My brother is getting married in April so I volunteered to make the table favors for the reception. Here is one. I used Box#2, Ruby Red cardstock, Raspberry Tart DSP, the Yummy stamp set, the dove die cut, and the Full of Life stamp set. So far I have 75 finished.

They are going to be filled with Hersey Kisses.
